1970 Ford Mustang “Grabber Special”, this car was purchased from the original owners in Edmonton.  They bought the car new at Shirley Ford.  It is a very rare and mostly unknown Grabber Special, unlike the Mavericks; the Mustang Grabber was only made for one year.  They were trimmed the same as a Boss 302 with either 70 stripes or the 69 Hockey stick side stripes.  Grabbers are 302 or 351 engines, the majority were 302’s which this one is. Automatic transmission, power steering, manual brakes, white or black interior but all with a black dash. There are only two listed in Canada on the Grabber Registry.  The original owners emigrated from England in 1968 and always dreamed of having a Mustang which is why they bought this one.  They loved the color and it was the regular production Mustang that came in Grabber colors.  They owned the car until 1998 but had stopped driving it in 1993 due to health issues.  The car is a truly rare find, original Mustangs have always been hard to find especially with low mileage and no rust or body damage.
